Malcolm Moran is a Connecticut-based artist known for his paintings, drawings, and sculptures exhibited across the U.S. Born in New Orleans in 1948, he grew up immersed in the city's vibrant culture before moving on in his mid-twenties. An alumnus of the University of the South and the Rhode Island School of Design, Malcolm is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor.

In the Artist’s Words:

Life reveals itself through a haze, shaped by people, time, and place. Stories are told, but their meaning often eludes us, slipping beyond reason. We search, bewildered, for signs to guide us through the chaos.

In my art, I am not creating from nothing; I am seeking. I search for metaphors and gestures that hold meaning, pointing to something valuable in my quest. These images emerge intuitively, speaking to me when they hold significance. In those moments, I seize them—not to possess but to make them visible, bringing them into a world where meaning is essential.
